Support Us
We need your support to help us improve provision of basic health services. You can support us in several ways - by volunteering your time and talent in support of our administrative staff or providing logistical support for Pandiaspora Medical Mission Teams. You can also support us by making a financial donation or donation of medical and laboratory diagnostic equipments, laboratory reagents, medical supplies and mobile clinics.
Volunteer at Our Offices in Nigeria (Abuja) and with our teams in the field
You can volunteer in our Abuja office in support of our administrative staff and in the field in support of the medical mission teams. To register your interest in volunteering please contact the Nigerian National Volunteer Service, Abuja or the Pandiaspora administrative staff by telephone or email at admin.officer@pandiaspora.org
We are always looking for volunteers with very good local knowledge and who can speak the local ethnic language. We currently have urgent need for driver-mechanics and logisticians. You should be at least 25 years old with minimum of 3 years work experience, be reliable and of good moral character. Additional training will be provided and subsistence allowance (accommodation and meals) provided during the medical mission period.
Sponsor a Medical Mission or Fundraising event
You can support our work by making a corporate donation or by encouraging your company or department to adopt Pandiaspora Fund as your favorite charitable foundation. You can also support us by directly funding a medical mission team or hosting our bi-annual fundraising events or sponsoring an event on our behalf.
Donate Medical Kits, Drugs and Equipments
We stock and use most of the donations on a rotating first in first out basis to avoid waste. We redistribute excess donations and what we don't use during medical missions to local health facilities, regional and rural hospitals. We do not accept donations of expired or expiring drugs within 3 months of their use by date. At this time we also are not accepting donations of drugs or vaccines that require a cold chain, as we do not have the capacity to maintain required temperatures.
The following diagnostic kits are currently in high need and urgent demand: Insecticide treated bednets, anti-malarials, HIV/AIDS ARV drugs, MDR-TB drugs, minor surgical kits, burn kits, rapid diagnostic kits for typhoid, peptic ulcer, hepatitis C, urine dipsticks and diabetes.
Overseas donations of medical kits and sterile surgical kits are accepted through our US, Canada, EU (UK) and Asian partners. Donated items should be packed in original manufacturer’s packaging and clearly marked "Humanitarian Gift in Aid" to "Pandiaspora Medical Mission Team". Contents of the packaging should be clearly listed. Items can be air freighted to any the follwoing international airport terminals for local collection - Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (IATA-KAN, ICAO-DNKN), Port Harcourt-Omagwa International Airport (IATA-PHC, ICAO-DNPO), Dr Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja (IATA-ABV, ICAO-DNAA), or Gen. Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos (IATA-LOS, ICAO-DNMM). Used equipments should be sterilized and “vacuum and/ or sterile sealed” with clearly marked “use by date".
All donations of drugs and medical kits should meet or exceed National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC - Nigeria) guidelines and be in compliance with 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System Regulations (QSR) for medical device manufacturers and importers, and ISO 13485 - a voluntary quality standard which provides a framework for meeting medical-device quality requirements in the international market.

Donate Mobile Clinic, Ambulance or Four Wheel Drive Cabin Crew Vehicles
In the past we had provided medical mission programmes on an adhoc basis. Beginning July 2008, we will be undertaking planned and sustainable medical mission and long term health development projects in Nigeria. Our previous experience has demonstrated that we can contribute significantly to the work of Governmental and Non-Governmental Organisations to achieve the targets set forth in UN Health and Education Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
To achieve permanence and versatility in reaching out to rural populations, we are seeking donations of vehicles and mobile clinics. This would enable our doctors and nurses to reach out to more people in remote rural areas and enable us to carry more supplies along with our mobile medical teams. If you wish to donate a vehicle to the Pandiaspora Medical Mission Team, please feel free to contact us today, so we can discuss your kind intentions. You can reach us via phone at +234 (0806) 461 5595 or the EU at +44 (07966) 195098. You calso send us an email to: medical.mission@pandiaspora.org

Your support will help ensure that we can send volunteer doctors and other healthworkers to rural areas and train more health workers in their own communities to save lives. If you are a US or EU/UK taxpayer, please contact us by e-mail as you would need to make your donation through one of our US or EU partners and complete a Tax/ Gift Aid Form. This will enable us to increase the value of your donation - at no additional cost to you! Your Tax/ Gift Aid declaration will allow you or us to reclaim tax, giving you an extra 28p for each £1 you donate.
If you have queries and need clarification, please contact us via telephone below or e-mail us at foreign.donations@pandiaspora.org
How we use your financial donation
We use your financial donation to support purchase NAFDAC-Approved medicines, laboratory reagents and medical supplies from NAFDAC registered pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria. Our priority drugs list includes anti-malarials, TB and MDR-TB drugs, ARV drugs, Antibiotics, Antifungals, Antihelminths, and other Drugs for Neglected Diseases (DNDs). We also use your donations to provide services in direct support of ante/prenatal and maternal child health services, to procure drugs, rapid diagnostics test kits and medical supplies directly from the International Dispensary Association and the Bill Clinton Global Initiatives for HIV/AIDS focusing on sub-Saharan Africa. We only use donations to fund services directly related to treating indigent patients in our care. More than 95 percent of your donations are used in direct provision of services to patients and other service users. We encourage Federal and State Governments through Public-Private Mix (PPM) Funding Initiatives to partner with Pandiaspora to deliver services related to skills transfer and training of local health workers.
Our main service beneficiaries are vulnerable populations, especially the elderly, women and children in resource poor settings, who otherwise lack access to basic healthcare. Your financial donation helps us to procure and provide vital medical kits, accessories and life-saving supplies for hard to reach populations and many others who otherwise can not afford. We are able to achieve a high level of efficiency using donor funds because more than 95% of your donation is spent on direct provision of services to the recipients. Our recurrent and administrative costs are funded through fixed annual grants and in-kind voluntary contributions of Nigerian Diaspora Doctors. As a result we are able to implement the medical mission programmes at no cost to the patients at the point of need, using the services of local and Nigerian Diaspora medical volunteer teams.
