We have finalized arrangements with NNVS and Niger State Govt and recruiting a team for Pandiaspora Medical Mission to Niger State for the period 7 -19th July 2008. The medical team will be made of six doctors (2 general/ family medicine practitioners, 2 paediatricians, 2 general surgery practitioners), four nurses, two pharmacists and two lab scientist/s technicians. One pharmacist is needed to help setup medicines stock management and dispensing system and to train local staff. One of the lab technicians is needed to help train local staff at the Regional hospital laboratory. The team will be supported by two logisticians. Minimum duration on the medical mission is two weeks. Return flight ticket will be provided from any part of the Diaspora and basic subsistence allowance will be provided while in Nigeria. For all doctors, a valid Diaspora (US, EU, Canada, Australia, Asia) or MDCN license to practice is required. Full training will be provided to include familiarisation with local content and context of the medical mission location.
