Our Vision - working to improve health and well being for the less priviledged

Our vision is of a health system where all individuals and especially the less priviledged citizens have guaranteed access to basic and affordabale primary healthcare, regardless of status or ability  to pay.

Our vision is that our institutions of learning, primary care facilities, general hospitals and University Teaching Hospitals should be true “Centres of Excellence” – harnessing the intellectual skills of Nigerian professionals both at home and from the Diaspora.

We want to contribute to reductions in maternal mortality, infant and under-five mortality rates and to reductions in morbidity and mortality due to chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, stroke and arthritis.

We want to contribute to improvements in gender equality in education and skills acquisitons, empowering our youth, especially girls to learn and develop their skills in healthy educational environments.

We aim to improve the quality of teaching and learning in our educational institutions by contributing to improvements in primary schools, secondary schools and state universities, helping them to graduate students who are equiped to compete globally;

We aim to increase and improve the public health workforce capacity of Nigeria by working side-by-side in support of frontline healthworkers, doctors, dentists, nurses, opticians, laboratory technicians, teachers, lecturers, scientists, professors and other highly skilled professionals – supporting them to increase the brain gain for Nigeria.

Over the next five years we will retain our core vision, to innovate and implement best practice principles in all our work. Our long term vision is to continue to share our passion and commitment to stem the brain drain.
